Near Drowning
Not a moment of slumber
But the meticulous evolution that illuminates a new world.
Wrapped in a blanket of sapphire,
The Creature finds solace in his very own Atlantis.
Others may watch and ask, “What led to the demise of Capricorn?”
Unaware of the independence found within deep waters.
Age of Aquarius
All the while, as critters crawled above sea level,
A great flood churned, poised to obliterate all security.
Those who gazed into the home of the solitary beast
became consumed by their own reflection,
distorting their willingness to dive in,
and embrace paradise.
As God smiled above he saw that the wickedness of man
was great in the earth,
and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart
was only evil continually.
